April and May have been seriously wild. So much happened and we have a ton of things in the works that we’re excited to tell you about soon. New releases, stories, and ways to join our journey. Here’s some of the recent news from Wild Common.
In April, SevenFifty Daily piece about “The 11 Best Additive-Free Tequilas According to Experts,” Shad Kvetko of Las Almas Rotas in Dallas, Texas. Las Almas Rotas is one of our favorite spots in the world. Shad gave Wild Common a shout out for our Still Strength Tequila Blanco which they use in their Muy Premium Margarita. Shad noted that our Still Strength makes “a margarita in Technicolor.” We couldn’t agree more.
CNN Underscored picked Wild Common Mezcal Ensamble as an “Editors’ Choice.” Writer Tobey Grumet Segal said that, “this mezcal is a splurge, but it’s also our choice to sip neat — and we reveled in the slight citrus and coconut nose, the smooth floral taste and the final hit of "barely there" warm smoke."
To kick off May, Tim McKirdy of VinePair featured Wild Common Tequila Blanco in a piece titled The 30 Best Tequilas for 2024. Tim picked up on its signature minerallery and savory flavor profile and awarded us a 93 point rating.
This past weekend, Wild Common was at the Goodjuice event in San Diego. Wild Common was part of a collection of the highest quality agave spirits brands. It was all time! Saeed of Cocktails by Hawk was slinging our Paloma La Matera. Our founder Andy Bardon was part of a thought-provoking panel discussion with Christine Maertens of Valor Tequila and the legend Carlos Camarena of Tequila Ocho exploring water conservation, biodiversity, the impact of climate change on agave cultivation, and measuring sustainability efforts in the industry.
