From the Lens to the Land: Andy Bardon Talks Wild Common with Bottle Raiders
Wild Common's founder reflects on the journey from National Geographic to launching one of the year’s most celebrated agave spirit brands
As part of Agave Spirits Week, Pedro Wolfe of Bottle Raiders sat down with Wild Common founder and CEO Andy Bardon to explore how he went from world-class photographer to creating some of the most respected tequilas on the market. They dive into Bardon’s journey as a photographer and what sparked the idea that would eventually become Wild Common.
The feature touches on everything that makes Wild Common unique, from the high-proof, unfiltered approach to tequila, to the diverse lineup of mezcals created in partnership with different maestro mezcaleros across Oaxaca. Bardon also shares insight into Wild Common’s partnership with the legendary team at Tequila Cascahuín and sustainability initiatives, including seed-grown agave cultivation, recycled glass, and an enduring commitment to land stewardship.
As Bardon puts it:
“We aren’t doing this because it helps us sell more. We’re doing it because it’s the right thing for the people, the land, and the planet.”
We’re honored to be included in Bottle Raider's coverage of Agave Spirits Week, alongside so many incredible voices in the space who continue to elevate the world of tequila and mezcal.
